Level Technology Choice:
The choice of a non-contact level technology is required for bulk handling tripper conveyor control. Both Acoustic and Radar will work in this application, under normal operation. Positioning of the transducer is important as Coal and Ore flow cannot impede the measuring beam. Acoustic transmitters are better suited when high-speed level monitoring is required, such as profile monitoring of the stockpile.
Low-frequency 10 kHz Acoustic transmitters are also an advantage for self-cleaning aerial tripper conveyor over stockpile capabilities.
