Level Technology Choice:
The choice of a non-contact level technology is required for tripper conveyor control. Both Acoustic and Radar will work in coal mine aerial tripper conveyor applications, under normal mining and minerals operations. Positioning of the transducer is important as Coal and Ore flow cannot impede the measuring beam. Acoustic transmitters are better suited when high-speed level monitoring is required, such as profile monitoring of the stockpile.
Low-frequency 10 kHz Acoustic transmitters are also an advantage for self-cleaning tripper conveyor capabilities.
