A high-power microwave beam operates between a sender and receiver to detect material or objects passing between two points.

The Gladiator Gen 3 Microwave Switch is a non-contact sender and receiver system designed for reliable detection of material, objects and machinery. A microwave signal is transmitted across the application to the receiver. When material or an object blocks or significantly attenuates the signal, the system provides an output for alarm, indication or process control.
Using circular polarisation, the Gen 3 system is designed to minimise the effects of reflected microwave signals from surrounding chute walls and structures, reducing the potential for false trips. With a maximum range of up to 1,200 m (3,937 ft), the same platform can be used for short-range blocked chute and point level applications through to long-range anti-collision and machinery protection.
Dedicated application presets simplify commissioning for blocked chute detection, point level switching and boom protection. Remote and integral configurations are available, together with Bluetooth connectivity, Modbus communications and a range of mounting windows and accessories for demanding industrial applications.
