HAWK’s Vibrating Level Sensor
HAWK’s Vibrating Level Switches can detect liquid levels within millimeter precision, regardless of the installation position. Featuring interface measurement of liquids and solids, vibrating level sensors are available in potentially explosive atmospheres. Precision monitoring for liquid applications from filling systems to bulk holding tanks.
A stainless steel tuning fork is driven by piezo ceramic elements, causing it to vibrate at its resonant frequency. When the material to be detected covers the fork, vibrations are damped. The changed vibration is sensed electronically, and the processed signal is used to switch a relay for indication or control purposes.
The Vibranivo Vibrating Level Switch Series is used for level monitoring in all types of containers and silos. It can be used with all powdery and granulated bulk materials that do not show a strong tendency to form crusts or deposits. Detection of solids in water is also possible. The units can be delivered with a wide range of Ex-approvals for use in Gas and Dust Hazardous Areas.
